Jet Provost T.3 of No. 6 Flying Training School based at RAF Acklington (Northumberland). It wears the initial metallic finish with dayglo bands and stripes. Individual aircraft code '9'. It was taken out of service in April 1989.

Here's a novelty - surely the only Jet Provost to appear in airline colours! Taken on charge by the RAF in 1960 as XM473, went to No 1 SoTT at Halton as 8974M and later up to Norwich for training use by Air UK apprentices who added the fake marks 'G-TINY' (real reg later used by a Zlin). Moved to a Bedford college and now with an ex-military aircraft dealership near Ipswich
