In 1947(!) this B-17 was put up as an eye-catcher at Art Lacey's Bomber Gas & Restaurant on SE McLoughlin Boulevard in Milwaukie, OR, on the west side of Route 99E. Nearly 50 years later, in March 1996, the forward fuselage and the tail gun turret were removed for restoration, but the rest of the aircraft remained on display at the restaurant until also removed in December 2014. Seen under restoration to military configuration after retirement by Evergreen Helicopters. (Uploaded in black-and-white as original slide had a strong blue tint.) After this restoration, N207EV was flown for a few years before moving to the Evergreen Museum in Oregon for display. In 2015 it was bought by the Collings Foundation and is currently (2023) planned to be returned to flight-worthy status, replacing B-17 N93012, which crashed at Bradley International Airport on 2 October 2019.

Damaged on a mission to the railway marshalling yards at Holzwickede on 23 March 1945. On return to England it was likely making for the special battle damage runway at Woodbridge, Suffolk when it collided with another B-17 and crashed at nearby Campsea Ashe.
