Painted to represent an aerobatic demonstration aircraft of the Esquadrilha da Fumaça (Smoke Squadron), this is actually a Magister acquired from France and was No.196 in French service. The original 1720, one of seven Magisters to serve the team in Brazil from 1969, was exported to Senegal as 6W-SCA in 1974. Four others also went to the Senegal AF, the other two to Bangladesh. The Esquadrilha da Fumaça is still in existence, flying Texan IIs.
