Pictured during its landing at homebase Suwan in the golden hour. This Tiger, equipped live AIM-9 Sidewinders and a single centerline fueltank, most probably returned from an air patrol over the country. It was built with FMS serial 81-0569 under license by Hanjin Corp./Korean Air as KF-5E Jegongho.

This is former USAF 65-10569 which was delivered to the Royal Norwegian Air Force as 569 on 1 September 1972. It was sold to Greece and flown from Sola (Norway) via Aviano air base (Italy) on 26 August. It continued its flight to Larissa on 29 August 1986. It was assigned to 349 MIA (as pictured). The Freedom Fighter was stored at Larissa from December 1993 so here it was seen in its final months of its operational life. The F-5A was dumped in the south east corner of the base but luckily saved for the local museum from November 2006.
