An ex-Polish Air Force aircraft, it had been used by the USAF in the 1980s to play the role of Soviet aircraft during exercises. It was rescued from an Arizona scrapyard in defiance of a 1992 order that the Migs be scrapped. Painted to represent a Korea War era aircraft.
