Looking into the cockpit of RCAF 17522 North Star. In May 2010 this cockpit was noted stored outside the Reynolds-Alberta Museum at nearby Wetaskiwin, and it was still there in April 2015.

The nose section of RCAF 17522, a North Star built by Canadair for the RCAF. This aircraft was based on the Douglas DC-4 but with Rolls Royce Merlin engines and was not pressurized. While it was much faster than the radial engined DC-4 it was known to be extremely noisy. Buffalo Joe obtained this section many years ago and it has sat outside since then. The sole surviving example of the 71 North Stars built is on display at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa, Ontario.
