This Ecurieul was former UAE AF serial 148. It was later modified to AS550B3 and received serial 2349. It was moved in 2006 from the air force to the UAE Joint Aviation Command (JAC). The JAC is the controlling command for all helicopters and aircraft of the UAE Army and Navy. Within the JAC, Group 23 (Observation/Training) operates these helicopters.
