This yard (private collection?) has quite a few planes and helicopters stored together. This Fishbed-D hulk was previously at Szolnok (- Opera) (LHSN) before being moved here.

Built by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and delivered to the East German Air Force around 1977 and designated with number 406. The East German Air Force had two units flying the Mi-24D. These units were based at Cottbus Air Base at the time of the reunification of Germany in 1990. The helicopter was taken into service with the reunified German Air Force and given the number 96+21. This helicopter was donated to the Imperial War Museum in the United Kingdom and placed on display at their aviation museum at Duxford. In 2012 the aircraft was placed on loan to the Pima Air & Space Museum

What should have been. The Red Arrows arrive overhead an empty RIAT showground. Sadly, both days of the world's biggest military airshow were cancelled due to waterlogged car parks.

This An-26 was delivered to the HuAF on 20th Nov. 1975 and is pictured about to touch down on rw13R. This was the absolute highlight for, me from many great planes, after a super day at BUD.

Another new exhibit for me to admire since my last visit to the wonderful Pima Air & Space Museum in 2011. It formerly carried German AF serial 9621.
