Landing at Mildenhall while temporarily based during runway resurfacing at nearby Lakenheath, this 492nd TFS/48th TFW 'Sled' last served the 131st TFW at St Louis before entering MASDC in December 1975. It escaped in June 1983 when moved to Litchfield Park for conversion by Sperry Systems and return to service as a QF-100D target drone.
