Phantoms overhead! Delivered to the USAF in 1978, first assigned to the 49th TFW ('HO'), then the 1st TFW ('FF') before starting to serve this 48th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Langley AFB (VA). It later received the LY tailcode of the 48th FIS. Was moved to the 131st FW ('SL') and ended its career at AMARC with inventory code FH0092 on 12 September 1994. The Eagle was moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) on 5 February 2000 for scrap.
