This Kiowa Warrior of the B Troop, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment "Banshee", one of two OH-58D units in the Combat Aviation Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division based at Ft. Campbell (KY), was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008. It is seen here just after take-off for another combat mission. This 970 was placed in storage at 309th AMARG on 11 December 2014. It left the storage depot in November 2016 when it was sold as scrap to HVF West at Tucson.
