Ex-MM80848/GdiF-49; on 1 May 2000 to AS9213 under the Armed Forces of Malta's new serial system. It was handed over to the GdiF in dismantled state on 13 February 2018 and then transported to Italy overland by truck. It was completely restored in AFM colours, and markings and is now displayed at the Museo Storico del Servizio Aereo della Guardia di Finanza at Pratica di Mare Air Base, near Rome. The GdiF chose AS9213 because it was the very first NH-500 to join the service and therefore had greater significance for the Museum. The restoration was completed on 19 December 2018.

Former Guardia di Finanza (GdF) serial MM80848/GdiF-49 became 9H-ABY within the Armed Forces of Malta, Malta Air Squadron 2nd Regiment on 6 June 1992. The registration was cancelled on 1 May 2000 and became serial AS9213. It was last seen in operational service in September 2001, after which it was stored at Luqa and offered for sale in October 2003. The Hughes was handed over at Luqa for preservation and display with the GdF on 13 February 2018. It was fully restored as AS9213 and placed in the GdF museum at Pratica di Mare (Italy) on 19 December 2018.
