Approaching Runway 23 at Glasgow on the evening service from Dubai. Delivered new to Singapore Airlines in 1997. Joined Emirates in 2004 and served until 2016. Withdrawn from use and put into storage as EI-GAC. Re-emerged as 9H-FOX with Hi Fly Malta in 2017.

When Emirates started its second daily service to Glasgow in the summer of 2012, it began flight with A340s, which made a pleasant change from the 777-300ERs used on the existing service. Soon, however, 777s were operating both flights.
