The two Taiga Air Twin Otters have slightly different color schemes depicting increasingly distant mountain ridges disappearing into the distance. My interpretation of the spiky symbol is that it represents a cross-section through an evergreen tree twig. Lastly, there is the silhouette of an eagle discreetly placed on the fuselage of this one.

Taiga is a new airline being set up in the Russian Far East that will consolidate some existing operators and fly the DHC-6, DHC-8 and A319. As anyone who's watched David Attenborough's Frozen Planet will know, Taiga is the name of the forest that circles the globe in Russia, Alaska and Canada.
