First flew 1st November 1957 as PH-VIH for KLM, to whom it was delivered 23rd November 1957. To Aer Lingus as EI-AOI 8th July 1966. Delivered from Dublin to Southend 31st March 1971 for lease by BAF for the 1971 season as a replacement for Carvair G-AOFW, which had been WFU. Returned to Dublin off-lease 30th September 1971, where it was immediately withdrawn from service, with the registration cancelled 16th October 1971 as PWFU. Scrapped at Dublin 29th December 1972.

As the seaborne and hovercraft car ferries bit into the market BAF's operations shifted to regional passenger and freight and lease charter. The Carvair nose section on the left was never used in a conversion of a DC-4, I believe.
