Former XL640 with the RAF. Here seen in ex Eurafric colors- strange that apparently the Union Jack had been applied before, but painted out (also visible on other pics when still with Eurafric). Delivered to the RAF as XL640 in 1959. To Eurafric as EI-BCI in 1977, Redcoat Air Cargo as G-BHAU in 1979 and Katale Air Transport as 9Q-CHU in 1982. Scrapped at Kinshasa in 1986.

After her RAF career as XL640, this Britannia was acquired by Monarch in 1.76 with the intention of onward sale to Aer Turas. However in 3.77 she was prepared instead for this new Portuguese operator for services to Angola, but was not taken up
