Austrian Airlines took delivery of this frame as an MD-81 in February 1986, and had it upgraded by the end of 1989. From March 2004 until March 2008, Nordic Airlink/FlyNordic, and Sky Wings of Greece, were the operators, after which Khors Aircompany got hold of the jet. A year later it was leased out to Zagros and in September 2011 followed the transfer to the Iranian register.
