Only 42 of the type were built with the first flight of the type in 1931. Unusually for a trainer of the period, it had side by side seating.

Fuselage in open store at car breakers where it was for many years. Ex-2895M with 692 Sqn ATC at Brentwood Institute. Registration G-ADFO (msn 5920/2) later became visible beneath the paint and it is thought that it became a composite with that aircraft at some point, obtaining the latter's fuselage. It was subsequently moved around, ending up at Redhill and then, in February 2012 the South Yorkshire Air Museum where it is on display in 2021.
