Built for Qantas in 1947 and imported by BOAC in 1955. Owned by Skyways Ltd from 1962 to 1967 and here just come off lease to ACE Freighters. In 1968 it became CX-BHC with Aerolineas Uruguayas and later scrapped. [Out of interest, the cars (on good authority) are front to back: Ford Anglia, Ford Prefect, Isetta and Alvis TC21.]

Skyways Constellation uses full flaps on arrival at Runway 24 with holidaymakers from a European resort, attracting attention from a group of young Manchester spotters. Delivered to Qantas in October 1947 as VH-EAB, later BOAC as G-ANUR, before serving Skyways/Euravia in 1962/65.

Skyways L-749A Constellation, ex BOAC, arrives on an inclusive tour schedule from Venice. It is taxying past the site of today's Aviation Viewing Park and will later depart for Valencia with another load of holidaymakers.
