Stored out of use at Stansted still wearing the tail markings of its former operator Trans Meridian Air Cargo. On 17th June 1981 it was resurrected and ferried to Lasham for maintenance; the British marks were cancelled on 7th July 1981 and on 8th July 1981 it was transferred to the US registration N104BB for use by Blue Bell/Wrangler Aviation. G-AXUL pushed into a corner behind the Qantas Medical Centre. Behind it is a old railway embankment, unused after the line was diverted around the airport instead of running across it. The embankment and the medical centre are now gone, as are the off-airport industrial buildings.

Good chance to see what a CL-44 looked like in loading mode. Delivered to Flying Tiger Line as N454T 25.1.62; last registered 3C-ZPO and dbr on 14.4.00 at Kinshasa when hit by over 100 bullets after ammunition in nearby storage caught fire

After service with TAC, the former N454T of Flying Tiger Line was sold to Blue Bell Aviation as N104BB. Later became 9U-BHI and then 3C-ZPO. Destroyed at Kinshasa on 14.4.00 when hit by over 100 bullets after an ammunition supply caught fire in a nearby warehouse. Delivered new to Flying Tigers as N454T in January 1962. Bought by Trans Meridian in December 1969, serving until merged into British Cargo Airlines in August 1979. Sold by them in July 1981.
