On 16th July 2006, whilst cruising at 3,500ft near Portbury, North Somerset, the aircraft suffered an alternator bearing seizure and smoke from the drive belt entered the cockpit. The engine stopped and the aircraft force landed in a small field, struck a hedge and suffered major damage to the composite fuselage structure fore and aft of the cockpit. Both occupants suffered minor injuries. It was cancelled from the British register on 10th February 2017 as "Permanently Withdrawn from Use".
