Built as C-47A 42-92458 but passed to the US Navy as R4D-5 17126 in 1944. Transferred to the Civil Aeronautics Administration in 1955 as N3458G, redesignated as EC-47H in 1962 and registered to the FAA as N41 in 1966, changing to N23 in 1974. It was registered to the US Dept. of Agriculture in 1975, initially as N87788, then N2001J and lastly in 1976 as N224GB. Acquired by Lee County Mosquito Control District in 1981 but noted parked out of service at FL59 in 1985; thought to have been broken up there in 2008 but its derelict cockpit section lives on at Punta Gorda-Shell Creek Airpark, FL.
