Delivered to United Airlines as CV340-31 N73122 in 1953. To Frontier Airlines in 1967 and converted to a CV580. To the Bolivian Air Force as TAM-72 in 1975. Sold as N5590L in 1979 then rergistered as N777TL in 1988. To Filair as 9Q-CRS in 1994 then to Compagnie Africaine d'Aviation in 1996. Destroyed when it overran the runway on takeoff at Tshikapa, DRC in 1997.

Originally N73122 a Convair 340 with United Air Lines and then Frontier Airlines, with whom it was when converted to a 580. It then operated for a couple of petroleum companies before it ended up here stored in TUS. Passed through several hands and in May 94 went to Filair as 9Q-CRS. In 1996 it became 9Q-CRU with Compagnie Africaine d'Aviation - CAA and was written off in a runway overrun following an aborted take-off at Tshikapa 1 Apr 97.
