This Connie languished for many years at FLL in its green and almost pink cols. The paint having been stripped would suggest that someone had plans for it. Whatever, it never came to fruition and the aircraft was broken up in 1980.

Early production Super L-1049 Constellation, later converted to L-1049/02. Served Eastern Airlines from 31 December 1951 until withdrawn in January 1968 with 41,886 flying hours. Sold in May 1968. Scrapped at Fort Lauderdale in late 1980.
