The aircraft was substantially damaged near Hamilton, Texas on May 25, 2015. The pilot was flying at FL200, in IFR conditions with significant weather He heard a couple of loud bangs and descended to FL130. When he wanted to stop the descent, he realized he had lost engine power, resulting in a forced landing in a field. The probable cause of the accident was the pilot's decision to continue into known severe thunderstorm conditions, resulting in the loss of engine power due to ingestion of water and ice.
