This DC9 was originally delivered to Delta as N1290L in May 1970 and then to Trinity Air Bahamas in September 1993. From July 1994 it flew with ValuJet as N916VV and was transferred to Air Tran in September 1997. In January 1999 it was re-registered and then in September 2002 the frame was retired, ferried to Opa Locka and scrapped.
