Delivered in 1946 to KLM, N86533 arrived at São Carlos in December 2000 after an epic 30 day road trip from Asuncion, Paraguay, where she had been impounded for smuggling in 1965. Destined for display in the planned Museu Asas de um Sonho / TAM Museum, she was re-assembled by November 2001 and by November 2006 had been re-painted in Panair do Brasil colours as PP-PDD. Unfortunately this excellent museum closed its doors in 2016. Plans were announced in June 2024 to re-locate at least some of the collection to a new site in the city of Itu, closer to Sao Paulo.
