Photographer: Al Rodriguez. K25 slide scan. Built 1961 as F-WJAP, initially retained as demonstrator. Delivered to Cruzeiro as PP-CJC 1963, stored 1975. Midwest Air Charter N901MW 1979, merged into Airborne Express 1980, withdrawn 1985 and donated to Ohio History of Flight Museum, Columbus. Museum closed down in 2000 and aircraft transferred to Airport Fire Service in 2005, remaining in external storage in 2022.

This Airborne Express cargo Caravelle belonged to the Ohio History of Flight Museum since 1985. But the museum had closed by 2000 and the Caravelle was stored on an apron, as seen here. In 2005 it was transferred to the airport fire services, who cared for it remarkably well. The aircraft was still with them in good condition by 2018.

Originally destined for United in 1963 but ntu. Bought from Cruzeiro do Sul (PP-CJC, wfu at Porto Alegre) just five months prior to the photo, this Caravelle became part of the Airborne Express fleet the following June, so is quite rare in these titles. Donated to Ohio History of Flight museum at Port Columbus in 6.85 and remains in external storage there
