The middle of three prototypes built by Bee Aviation Associates Inc. (Beecraft) , the Wee Bee built in 1948, Honey Bee built in 1952 and larger four seat Queen Bee built in 1960. None ever entered production and the Wee Bee and Queen Bee were destroyed in a fire at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in February 1978. The Honey Bee, which survived, was later displayed at the EAA Museum at Oshkosh before moving back to San Diego in 2004 and is still believed to be in storage at the museums Gillespie Field annex.
