The third Ryan ST, and the first ST-A with a more powerful Menasco engine of 125 hp - information that the first five were basic STs is apparently wrong. Ryan pilot John Fornacero is in the front cockpit and in the rear seat is Peter Dana, a noted young pilot who got his licence at the Ryan flying school in 1934 at the age of 18. This plane was registered to him and he became a Ryan distributor in New Hampshire. It seems that he was an airline pilot with Northwest Airlines in the 1950s. Photo probably taken at SAN in 1935 or 1936. Photo from: San Diego Air & Space Museum
Registration / Serial:NC14910
Aircraft Version:Ryan ST-A
