Still carrying the Alitalia colours adopted from the end of the 1960s, in April 1973 this Caravelle was bought from the Italian flag carrier to whom it had been delivered new as I-DAXE in January 1960. It was wfu at AMS in April 1975 and after use as an emergency trainer, was b/u in 1982

The former Transavia Caravelle was transferred to the Schiphol Fire Service in mid 1975. It was painted bright yellow with 'operated by Schiphol Airport Fire Service' titles and was used as a fire rescue trainer. By 1982 it was scrapped. Considering the state of this aircraft the picture dates probably to the late 70s.
