Although operating mainly out of Weeze/Niederrhein in Germany, V Bird was a Dutch low cost airline with their head office at Maastricht-Aachen Airport. It began operations on 23 Oct 2003 and ceased operations 8 Oct 2004. They operated three A320s and also leased a fourth from Dutchbird for a while. I did fly a return trip from Niederrhein to Copenhagen with them in Jun 2004 and, some eight months after they had started, the load factors were very poor. It was sad to see them go.
