According to the Aviation Safety Network website, this Ce208B was originally owned by Aero Taxi Internacional from Panama, with registration HP-1191XI. On 31 January 1992, four passengers hijacked the aicraft and forced it to land at a remote airstrip near Turbo, Colombia. Apparently, the aircraft was then impounded by the Colombian government and it ended up in its police inventory.
