Following recent efforts by volunteers to refurbish the aircraft and the area in which it is displayed, both have seen major improvements. The Viscount, which had suffered from many years of neglect, has been repainted in VASP colours. Although the aircraft still has some very dubious looking props, a couple of Rolls Royce Darts have been added to the display.

Adding to Paul Seymour's comments on his 2016 photo (ID114853), after its re-location in 2006, the aircraft was initially used as a children's cinema but was no longer being used as such by 2014. The aircraft was repainted in this multi coloured livery in 2017 and efforts are currently being made to restore the aircraft which has suffered from many years of neglect, work was underway on repairs to the underside of the fuselage at the time of my visit.

Owned by the City of Araçariguama and preserved in a park on a hill just west of Araçariguama near São Paulo. It is a bare shell with no interior, missing doors and windows, no engines and false propellers, but does appear to be cared for. Delivered to BEA as G-AMOD in 1953 and sold to VASP in 1962. It was withdrawn from use in 1969 and moved to its current location in 2006.
