Air Atlanta Icelandic took up this B747-300 from Varig in early 2000. First job it got with Air Atlanta Icelandic was flying Hajj for Saudia. Later in 2000 it flew for Air Algerie for 5 months. A small sticker with titles was all that decorated this 747 during that period.

I received an e-mail from Murray Pine, an engineer with Air Atlanta, to inform me that he and three or four of his colleagues returned to Prestwick with this 747 (and also TF-ATI). The engineers spent 3-4 weeks carrying out scheduled maintenance, cleaning the aircraft and defect rectification. Both aircraft had previously flown 90, 10 hour flights between Jeddah and Surabaya (Indonesia) during Feb, March and April 2000, performing flights for the annual Hajj.
