This former A&AEE Anson had been acquired by the Shuttleworth Collection in 1968 but, after a number of years, moved to Duxford. As can be seen here, it was the subject of a long-term restoration effort, apparently with a view to putting it back in the air. In the event, it later became an exhibit at the Al Mahatta Aviation Museum, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, wearing Gulf Aviation colours to represent G-AKVW, which was actually an Anson 1.

Retired from RAF service with the A&AEE, Boscombe Down in 1968. Sold to Shuttleworth for restoration but not proceeded with. Registered as G-BSMF to Gordon Fraser, Switzerland on 5th September 1990. Reported on restoration in Arbroath, Scotland December 1993. De-registered April 2001 on sale to UAE. On display in Sharjah Museum, UAE, marked as "G-AKVW" in Gulf Aviation colours.
