VH-MXP was registered in December 1979. The 1983 Schofields air show was a wash-out, with torrential rain and low cloud. The static park turned into a quagmire. A cropduster did its show but the only other act was a USAF B-52 from Guam, which managed a couple of flypasts using its terrain-following radar.
