It took VH-PLK three months from the photo to officially enter the register. The hangar behind was Rex Aviation's assembly hangar where it put together aircraft that had arrived in shipping crates. -PLK headed to Papua New Guinea and became P2-PLK when that country opened its own register in 1974.
