Wearing the codes of 812 Squadron whilst operating on the carrier HMS Ocean, WB410's undercarriage collapsed on landing at Ringway. It was jacked up, repaired and later served 821 squadron. See other image at Ringway when modified in 1959 to Firefly U.9 drone role.

One of 40 Firefly U9 drone conversions carried out at Fairey Aviation's Stockport and Ringway facilities. It is seen on a piloted test flight before delivery to 728B Squadron Fleet Air Arm at Hal Far, Malta, where it was lost on 25 August 1960. Yellow uppers and red undersurfaces.
