Another of my old "Brownie 127" photos. Carries "Royal Air Force Transport Command" titles plus an 'FCS'(Ferry Communication Squadron?) diamond(blue/yellow) on fin plus the Wallingford Coat of Arms behind cockpit. To 7858M and to the Colerne Museum. On the folding of the museum it went to the SAS training area at Ewyas Harold, Hereford.

One of 35 aircraft which made up the excellent RAF Colerne Aircraft Museum. The aircraft were dispersed when the station closed in 1976. Arrived at Colerne 2nd September 1964, ex-CATCS. Allocated maintenance serial 7858M. Departed in March 1976 to the SAS training area near Ewayas Harold, Herefordshire where it was blown up in an exercise in December 1977.

Entered service in 1950 then in March 1976 it was transferred to Special Air Service Regt HQ as instructional airframe 7858M and sadly blown up in December 1977 at the army training area near Ewayas Harold, Herefordshire.
