Originally started life as an Army Air Corps AOP.10 with a 200 hp D.H. Gipsy Major engine. It was subsequently converted to AOP.12 standard(circa 1957-8) with the fitting of a 215 hp Gipsy engine but may not have been retrofitted to full AOP.12 standard.
