771 Squadron were in the process of replacing their Wessex HAS.1s with SAR Wessex HU.5s, and their was a second '530/CU' also present at this Naval Air Day, HU.5 XT769.

Later used for ground instruction as A2682, and scrapped at Yeovilton in 1994.

Wessex XM845 from RNAS Culdrose, rescue demonstration with Penlee Lifeboat,Solomon Browne, off Penzance Promenade in Mounts Bay, Cornwall with St Michaels Mount as backdrop, near Christmas two years later the Penlee Lifeboat was lost with all on board in a desperate attempt to save the crew of the Union Star a few miles from the Photo scene,that night the sea conditions were so severe the Wessex on duty crewed by an American exchange pilot was completely helpless to assist in the rescue.e
