After its deployment in 1945, the original A-99 was briefly re-registered in civilian service with the Swiss Air Force (HB-ARU) before being recalled in 1950 and given the number A-96. This was because the A-99 had already been reassigned in the meantime with a newly procured 1948 Fieseler Storch licence construction.
