Delivered to the Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones as YV-O-MTC-8 in 1976. Damaged beyond repair when hit by a Boeing 727 while parked at Caracas in 1998. Later scrapped.

Two Shorts Skyvans, YV-O-MTC-3 and YV-O-MTC-8, were badly damaged in Oct 1998 when a Boeing 727 ran away uncontrolled. The wing support beam completly broke away from the fuselage which is ripped open in several locations. Both aircraft were still parked on the ramp in February 1999, see here for the photos, which clearly show the damage. They were never repaired and this aircraft was scrapped a few years later.
