The first aircraft to be named Aries was 'Aries I' Lancaster B1 PD328, which circumnavigated the globe in late 1944. Subsequently Lincoln and Canberra aircraft have worn the name (Lincoln B1's 'Aries II' RE364 and Aries III RE367, Canberra B2 'Aries IV' WH699 and finally Canberra PR7 'Aries V' WT528).
