This Sikorsky UH-60A was one of the first acquired by the USAF, assigned to the 55th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron at Eglin AFB, and scheduled to become the second prototype HH-60D Night Hawk combat rescue helicopter, before this program was cancelled. It was photographed with four other 55 AARS' UH-60s in January 1985. It was later converted to a HH-60G with the addition of an advanced combat navigation system, defensive armament and an inflight refuelling boom. It crashed while serving with the 58th SOW/512th RQS, near Angel Fire, NM on May 11, 2005.
