Delivered to Arkia on Dec 20th, 1969, this machine saw previous service as G-APTB with BUA from January 1960 and Hunting Clan from June 1959. Purchased by BAF for spares in 1989, she was later broken up. Sister-ship 4X-AVE is in the immediate background with a selection of IDFAF transporters further back.

Here brand new and on delivery ferry. Seen at Winnipeg in 1977 registered to blues singer Ray Charles as N923RC but still wearing the smart later Tenneco livery.

Damaged beyond repair after it hydroplaned off the end of the runway and went down an embankment at Bloomington/IA on 19 October 1985. Contributing factors were a tail wind and a touchdown point one third along the runway.

Registered to Ray Charles Enterprises and here still in the livery of Tenneco, where it was N500T. Later repainted with a more show-biz golden stripe, see Photo ID: 28186.

Originally planned for Cubana as CU-T624 Type 818 but not taken up. This aircraft had a long and illustrious history before crashing at Munro Bloomington Indiana as N923RC with Ray Charles Enterprises Inc. None of the 28 passengers onboard suffered serious injuries. The remains went to Go Group at Tucson for spares.

Built for Cubana, but the sale was never completed. The aircraft was leased to Tennessee Gas Transmission Corporation. Several operators later, singer Ray Charles bought the Viscount in January 1977 for touring and using his birthday of September 23rd, registered it N923RC. Damaged beyond repair after it hydro-planed off the end of the runway without injuries at Bloomington, Indiana on October 19, 1985. The hulk was sold to the Go Group for parts.
