The Museum restored this Vertol 44 as No 9592 serving with No. 103 Rescue Unit at Greenwood in the 1960s. Built in March 1960, it later flew at RCAF Chatham until retired in November 1971. Sold to Nahanni Helicopters in 1973 as CF-BSG, it was later abandoned in Fort Simpson, NWT and salvaged by Garth Walker of Comox, BC c.1980 who planned to use it for logging. The museum obtained the rear cabin of 9592 from collector Byron Reynolds in Alberta and later acquired US Army H-21 53-4365 for its front cabin and other parts since a snowplow accidentally crushed the front cabin of 9592 in BC.

Photo probably taken on 19 April 1958 when this Flying Banana hired by Sabena exceptionally flew on the Rotterdam route. It was normally used around Brussels during Expo 58 which opened two days earlier. N74058 also flew a Amsterdam - Rotterdam trial service on behalf of Schreiner Aero Contractors in November 1958 but then it was no longer allowed to use this central heliport. Delivered to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force as 50002 in 1959 and used for test purposes. Preserved at the Tokorozawa Aviation Museum by 1993.

Returned by Sabena immediately after Expo 58 in Brussels, N74058, still wearing the Expo logo, was used for trial flights between Schiphol and Rotterdam - Zestienhoven by Bob Schreiner's Aero Contractors. Stops in central The Hague had to be skipped as the local fire brigade would not cooperate - clearly the helicopter's honeymoon was over, and scheduled services of course did not materialize. Sabena leased two Vertol 44s for the duration of Expo 58 in Brussels. A temporary heliport was in operation. OO-SHM, an S-58 is on the right. The capital's regular heliport was situated at Allée Verte or Groendreef.

This H-21 was built in 1958 and served with Deltaire Industries (Eastern) Ltd at Arnprior, ON as CF-NVC (this reg is still visible on the starboard side). Transferred to the US around 2001 and is now in the storage compound of the San Diego Air & Space Museum Restoration Facility.
