Another of the ex-Australian Airlines 737s which continued in QANTAS service became a freighter. VH-XMB sadly now gone from the fleet.

Qantas Freight flight 7385 to Melbourne on the threshold of Rw 23 awaiting take-off clearance.

In partnership with Australia Post, Qantas Freight Flt 7386 departed off Rw 23 bound for Melbourne. These are not often seen in Adelaide in daylight hours and on this morning a heavy cloud bank to the west created an impressive backdrop for sunlit aircraft. It isn't known how much loading was on this flight but it took off from mid-field, got in the air in short order then climbed at what seemed quite a steep angle once the landing gear was retracted.

Operated by Express Freighters Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Freight. Very small titles are barely discernible on the nose. I don't know if this had cargo on board or was empty, but it departed off Rw 23 from Delta which isn't usual for loaded aircraft of this size as they normally commence the take-off run from the threshold at Bravo.
