Withdrawn from use at Rissala in March 1998. It went to Lappeenrantä in May 1999 to be preserved in the Kaakkois-Suomen Ilmailumuseoyhdistys - Aviation Museum Society of South-East Finland as MG-77 in HävLLv 31 markings.

The day before this picture was taken the squadron lost a MiG-21, which meant that the visit to Kuopio was cancelled. They did tow a Hawk and a Fishbed to the civil apron for us to photograph, sadly in very unfavourable weather conditions!

One of a handful of MiG-21bis aircraft were locally modified to carry a reconnaissance pod. These aircraft were known in Finland as MiG-21bis/T. The 'T' stands for 'Tiedusteluversio', meaning 'Reconnaissance Version'). This version can be identified by the small pods on the wing tips and radar warning receivers in the top of the tail.
